What Are Engineered Wood Veneers?

This is a fairly new product and has been gaining popularity because of its color and grain consistency across a large project.

Engineered veneer is made by first creating an artificial log using readily available and less expensive wood such as Poplar and Basswood. These logs are cut up and stained with color and assembled in a repeatable way and then glued and pressed into a new log shape.

Cutting this new log creates a design that is consistent in grain and color while still having the natural variations of real wood. It is applied to an engineered panel core just like a natural veneer, and is finished the same way.

With so many new colors and patterns available, contact us today to see if an engineered wood veneer is a good fit for your project!
