Completed Project: Boston Veterinary Seaport Office & Exam Rooms. For the new clinic, NEC provided Wilsonart plastic laminate lockers, waiting room benches and exam room cabinets fitted with laminate counter tops. A reception desk with a Corian solid surface top and shiplap accent wall welcome you into the space.
Completed Project: Mount Alvernia Academy Innovation Lab. Partnering with Carr Enterprises, based on Habeeb & Associates’ designs, NEC provided plastic laminate base cabinets with solid surface tops and tall cabinets with tackboards installed on the doors. Architectural door frames were built and stained to match the current hallways of the second floor.
Completed Project: Boston Medical Center Clinical Lab. With metal laboratory furniture framework in place, NEC fabricated woodgrain plastic laminate cabinets with epoxy resin work surfaces. The different configurations include open suspended cabinets, sliding door wall cabinets, standard suspended cabinets and fixed base cabinets.
Completed Project: Massachusetts General Hospital Jackson Lab. NEC provided quartered white maple with a chemical resistant finish and epoxy tops for the research lab. For the millwork package, wood cabinets with laminate tops were located in the conference room and a customized reception desk was fitted with a solid surface top.
Completed Project: MIT.nano. In collaboration with Wilson Architects and Turner Construction, NEC provided wood cabinets with quartered maple doors and quartered walnut drawers. The base cabinets feature dual integrated full width aluminum drawer pulls and a wraparound bench detail.
Completed Project: UMass Memorial Clinton Hospital Emergency Department. To accommodate the rising number of patient visits, NEC provided woodgrain plastic laminate cabinets for patient rooms and nurses’ stations. A mixture of solid surface and plastic laminate work surfaces were used throughout. Architectural wood wall and ceiling features were also provided.
Completed Project: University of Maryland Baltimore Pharmacy Hall. The university’s teaching facility mimics that of a retail pharmacy in order to educate future pharmacists. Custom plastic laminate dispensing cabinets and octagonal laminate tables with privacy dividers were provided, along with wood veneer cabinets for the research labs.
Completed Project: Green Willow Dental in South Hamilton, MA. Working directly with the DMD, NEC offered a cost saving solution using maple cabinets and solid surface work surfaces. Specialized details include extendable work tops, cutouts for dispensing gloves and work surface penetrations for waste disposal.
Completed Project: Harvard University Faculty Office. The Ivy League school requested FSC certified and NAUF wood veneer cabinets for a new faculty office suite, kitchenettes and conference rooms. NEC provided plain-sliced white Maple casework, markerboards, window sills and other architectural trim throughout the space.
Completed Project: St. John’s Prep STEM Building. Partnering with Flansburgh Architects and Windover Construction, NEC provided several configurations of student workstations built from plain-sliced White Oak. Sliding technology boards were integrated into the teaching wall hiding additional storage.
Completed Project: New England Lab Conference Center. Collaborating with the client, NEC provided textured woodgrain plastic laminate commercial cabinets with solid surface tops in the kitchenettes. Conference room cabinets, a lobby digital signage wall, and other millwork features showcase engineered Wenge veneer that provides consistent color and grain throughout the space.
Project Spotlight: Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Urgent Care Facility in Chestnut Hill, MA. Working with designer Isgenuity and contractor Suffolk Construction, NEC provided plastic laminate casework and solid surface tops for the exam rooms, nurses’ stations, medicine prep rooms and check-in area.
